· Dan asks that the membership consider establishing limits on the types of equipment used on our Quartzville Creek placer claim. Because this is a small, shared claim, higher-impact gear — such as dredges or high bankers — can quickly work the available ground and deplete the gold before other members have a chance to enjoy the site. The question for the club is whether this claim should be limited to lower-impact methods like pans and sluices only. Equipment guidelines would help protect the claim, promote fair access, and ensure all members can benefit throughout the season.
